In no way, shape or form is this a bad thing - Was sometime earlier this week while driving into work and on the local sports radio station the discussion was who would be the Brewers Opening Day starter. As Brian pointed out yesterday, chances are better than not it’ll be Zack Greinke, but there was a good argument for Yovani Gallardo as well. The entire time I listened all I could think to myself was ‘I’ve never heard this conversation before in my life’. That conversation being the fact that the Brewers have two legitimate number one’s on the pitching staff and there even is an actual debate to be had as to whom to start. That my friends, is a pretty good problem to have.
Thanks for hanging this week, have a great weekend and we’ll see you back here on Monday.

Actually, Shawn Marcum started on opening day for Toronto last year and there’s widespread speculation that he’ll benefit from the move to the National League. So the Brewers could be considered to have three #1 quality starters; perhaps not on the level of Halladay, Lee & Oswalt (or even Lincicome, Cain & Sanchez/Bumgarner) but still light-years ahead of where they were.
