Looking Forward – As much as it’s nice to revel in the warmth and glow that is a Super Bowl Championship for the Packers, it’s also time to start looking forward to what will happen in the off-season leading up to next season. Now, I’m not going to touch the whole CBA deal as I believe a deal will get done and that’s that. For the Packers though, there will be some tough choices coming up & I’m going to focus on two of those choices – James Jones & Cullen Jenkins. I said this earlier this week, may even have been during the game on Sunday night, but I think the Packers should let James Jones walk. Jones is just too inconsistent and for every great catch he makes he drops two. I think that Driver will return at least for next year which will allow the Packers to fill Jones’ spot with a high draft pick. I would like to see the Packers re-sign Cullen Jenkins post-haste and as far as I am concerned that should be the top priority, at least in terms of immediacy. I understand that Mike Neal will be back next year but if you can re-sign Jenkins and then add Neal to the rotation on the D-Line it’ll keep that group strong and stout all season. Unfortunately, my gut is telling me Jenkins won’t be in a Packers uni come next season though.
