One Last Gift to Open - Seven years ago Anne & I hosted Christmas at our place in Green Bay as Anne was 9 months pregnant with our first son. My folks and Grandpa came to town and on Christmas Eve my sister & her fiance (both students at UW-GB at the time), and Big Snake Man (before he was Big Snake Man and just Uncle Mike) came over to exchange gifts. On Christmas, my sister had us all over to her apartment for Sheepshead (the card game, not a meal of it) & an early dinner. I recall Anne being really quite most of the day and hardly eating anything at all when we sat down. Once we had a moment alone I asked if she was OK and her response was something along the lines of ‘Maybe we should go home’. Of course, I knew right away she was having contractions so without alarming anyone or getting them too excited (we had had several false alarms previously) we were headed home to let Anne lay down and see what happened. Well, one thing led to another and at 9:27 PM that Christmas Day, Connor McWeeny Pingel joined us in this world. As I always say, we had one last gift to open that Christmas and it turned out to be the best possible one.
I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas & hope you are able to spend it with family, friends and loved ones. The Pocket Doppler Prognosticators post will be up later this afternoon, we’ll see you all back here on Monday hopefully celebrating a Packers win and I’ll leave you with this to kick off your holiday weekend.

And thanks, Wally, for the awesome Steve Martin reset.
Oh, and anytime you want to throw up some more pictures of J. Biel, it’s fine by me.
