Football Coaching is Tough - As I mentioned last week, we had our first flag football practice of the year for my son’s team.  Let me tell you, trying to get 8 6-7 year olds to be focused and concentrating for an hour and a half is no small task.  For the most part I would say the practice went well though although we didn’t get to practice any plays as we worked on fundamentals the entire team.  Thinking back on it though, that was most likely the wisest course of action as you can’t really run any plays if the kids don’t know how to hand-off or take one for that matter.  I want to give a big thanks to Hans & Joe out in California for all the assistance they have given me as well, that first practice wouldn’t have gone that smoothly without their advice and help.
