The Best Laid Plans…- I signed up to be an assistant for my 6 year old son’s flag football league, knowing that the more adults you have around to ride herd the smoother things go. Lo and behold, you can imagine my surprise when I found out I had been “promoted” to co-head coach of the team, seeing as not enough people wanted to be head coaches. So for the past two weeks I’ve been researching like crazy, looking for drills, plays and anything else I thought would help. The first practice is this Saturday and I am diligently mapping out that practice with drills and then the start of ‘installing the offense’. I am sure all my preparation will help but if there is one thing I have learned as a parent is that nothing ever goes to plan when it comes to kids. So wish me luck as we embark on the season and pray for my sanity.
Thanks for reading this week and we’ll see you back here on Monday.
