This weeks Daybreak Doppler Dames theme is women whose names I know but have no idea what they do.

An Ashley Greene sort of morning.

The Packers annual Family Night intra-squad scrimmage was held this past Saturday and it actually didn’t rain.  While it really is just a glorified practice, it is televised & was streamed this year so pretty much everyone could watch it.  Ol’ Bag of Donuts has a Super-terrific wrap up of the event.

Brian over at CHTV in his Family Night Notebook said that the young secondary impressed.

A wrap-up of the first week of Training Camp from the Acme Packing Company.

Packers Update has the second installment of their postcards from camp.

Have to say that on a few levels I agree with Alex here about watching football games a home, more on that below.

The Brewers got a measure of revenge against the Astros by sweeping them over the weekend. Baseball Brew has a series recap.

On Saturday, it was once again Trevor Time with Hoffman notching his 567 save.  As the Brewers Bar says, I’m also A-OK with Hoffman Getting Easy Save Opps.

Confessions of a Sports addict has a weekend sports recap including thoughts on Tiger &  Lance Armstrong.

Stating the obvious: Is Favre’s Ankle Injury an Excuse To Miss Camp? Yes, yes it is.

Emmit Smith was inducted into the Pro Football HOF this weekend, in case you had some issues understanding his induction speech, here’s a handy Emmit-to-English Dictionary.

Yeah, this really does sum up why parents shouldn’t be allowed on Facebook.

I can’t believe someone actually does this for a living: Professional Klingon Translator – Coolest or Nerdiest Job Ever?

I don’t know about Lost Boys or the Original Batman but the rest of these movies you should pretend to like to impress women make sense.

Eva Mendes, lots and lots of Eva Mendes.

TV vs Lambeau- Alex brings up some good points above in his post about going to a game or staying home to watch it.  I love going to Lambeau for games. The atmosphere of being at Lambeau for a game is something you really can’t explain, it’s just that tremendous. I’m lucky enough, living in Green Bay, to be on ‘stand by’ for about a half a dozen people with ticket access so I get to go to quite a few games each year. That being said, I don’t bemoan those times I can’t go. These days one of the primary reasons I don’t mind staying home is my boys are getting to the age where they like watching football and cheering on Donald Driver or Aaron Rodgers.  Watching them get excited about a touchdown is almost as good as slapping high fives with people in the stands. So while I don’t think I’ll ever turn down tickets when offered, watching at home is just fine with me…and the beer is a lot cheaper too.
