False Hope  – OK, so it was great to see the Brewers get a sweep and in dramatic fashion as well.  It was even better to hear Bob Uecker back behind the mic and calling these games.  What concerns me now though is with the Reds coming to town and lets say the Brewers get 2 out of 3 in the series, is there going to be the false hope that there’s still a chance to salvage this season?  I sure hope not because let’s be honest, there’s just no way the Brewers can compete right now with the pitching they have.  Of course, the reverse could be true too and this series could end the season as well, hopefully lighting a fire under Doug Melvin to aggressively move at least Fielder.

False hope might be the best description for the Crew I have seen yet. That, or they are one giant tease. It’s exciting and we can’t help but get lured in, but eventually we will all be let down. If nothing else, they are entertaining and showing some true grit by not giving up on the season. Brauny, Yo and the bunch are pulling out some nice wins, but sadly I don’t think there is any chance the playoffs come within reach. Role of spoiler, and I can accept that…All we need is a Prince walk-off explosion at homeplate and it’s 2009 all over again.
