The weekend for the Brewers started out pretty good with a win over the Rangers in inter-league play, and then it went downhill from there. Yesterday Yovani Gallardo was on the mound which usually leads to good things for the ‘Crew but it didn’t turn out that way. The Brewers Bar asks if Gallardo is haveing a Sheets-type season?
Disciples of Uecker has some thoughts on comments made by Brewers FSN Announcer Brian Anderson.
Over the weekend the US World Cup team played England to a 1-1 draw, which by most accounts is a ‘win’ for the US. Archie Manning’s Bastards has a minute by minute recap of the match.
The tying goal for the US in Saturday’s match was as much due to the mistake the English ‘keeper’ made as it was to Clint Dempsey shot. So of course, many English fans will try and discount it as much as possible, including the ABC announcer for the match who is of course English.

I’ve already admitted I watch Glee, but one of the reason’s is that there are some not unattractive chicks on there…same reason I watch So You Think You Can Dance although those chicks can be hot but also scantily clad. I consider myself lucky to have a mechanic here in town I trust to bring our vehicles to, but for those of you that don’t here are 10 Mechanic Scams to be on the watch out for next time you have to bring your car in.
What the hell is that noise?!? - If you watched any World Cup action this weekend you couldn’t not notice the consistent buzzing sound which was the result of the Vuvuzela, the World Cup version of the Vikings horn & just as annoying. I saw more than one tweet/Facebook posting over the weekend bemoaning them. Well, it’s possible the vuvuzelas may be banned ‘if fans don’t show more respect in their bugling.’ Um..yeah, you’re talking about a fan base that regularly considers it a good time to start pummeling each other for no good reason other than the fact they can. That statement may be an over generalization but if the the vuvuzela’s aren’t actually removed from the stadiums, there’s no way you’re going to control people with them during the match. My guess is we’ll just have to get used to the droning sound of these things for next month.
