This weeks Daybreak Doppler Dames theme is Miss USA

A Samantha Casey ( Miss Virginia USA ) sort of morning.

As you all know, the Brewers lost yesterday courtesy of another Trevor Hoffman blown save.  I’m not even gonna bother with linking to a game recap but rather go with this from Disciples of Uecker: Time for Trevor to Retire .

From UnPacked, this pretty much sums up what all Brewers fans are feeling: Hoffman annihilates all hope (vortex of pain & anger edition)

Bernie’s Crew says their patience has ran out and it time to Say Goodbye, Trevor .

Archie Manning’s Bastards says what is important to note about the closer’s situation is the Brewers reaction, which has been nothing …hopefully that changes today.

Wisconsin Sports Tap echoes all of the above but also ponders who will take on the closer’s role .

The Brewers Bar is trying to stay on the bright side of things, giving credit where credit is due to Manny Parra & Marco Estrada who pitched well yesterday .

Total Packers has some commentary  on Packers QB Aaron Rodger’s Twitter swipe at ESPN & Tod McShay. asks the question: Greg Jennings or Jeff Suppan, Who’s Better?

The 10 Sexiest Sdekicks.

Just Leave  - At what point do the Brewers just say, ‘Sorry Trevor, we’d like you to see you get those 600 saves but not at the expense of wins’.  I’m telling you right now, it needs to be said as not only is aggravating for us fans to see this over and over again it’s beginning to get embarrassing for the team.  Finally, finally there’s a decent chance for a much needed win yesterday and we saw (or heard in my case) what we’ve been seeing all year.  Hoffman just doesn’t have it anymore, guess I’m not sure what else to say.  Take one for the team Trevor, hang’em up and just leave.

Funny thing about Hoffman is, if this had happened last year, I wouldn’t have been surprised. Now it’s even more disappointing. I guess they should be grateful they got one good year out of him.

I believe the only reason Hoffman hasn’t been replaced already is that the Brewers have no clear cut successor. Villanueva doesn’t possess the ‘stuff’ to be a closer and everyone else in the bullpen has struggled too. So even once the move is made, don’t expect a vast improvement.
