Daybreak Doppler: Bats Staying Alive
This weeks Daybreak Doppler Dames theme is, in honor of Mother’s Day coming up this weekend, ‘Moms’.
Make sure to check back later this afternoon when we unveil our new, weekly Thursday feature, more on that below.
The Brewers kept the bats going last night with an 11-3 win over the Dodgers. This is the first series victory since sweeping Pittsburgh, which is sort of depressing but hey, we’ll take what we can get. None of our usual suspects have their game recaps, so I’ll give you this from JSOnline and you can get an inning by inning recap.
Bernie’s Crew has a Minor League report for you, detailing the Top 30 prospects right now in the Brewers farm system.
Chris from Ol’ Bag of Donuts has a great read on fans, the players we watch and the relationship between between us.
BrewHoop has some off seasons notes for you Bogut, Ilyasova and Salmons.
Bucksketball continues their post-season, Haiku review, this time focusing on the Forwards.
BrentFavre.com takes a walk down Memory Lane with a look back at the 2007 Seahawks/Packers Divisional Playoff Game. Have to say, I was at that game too and it is hands down the most fun I have ever had at a Packers game ever…also the last time I ever walked out of a game with a good memory of Brett Favre.
A nice review of Packers Undrafted Free Agent discoveries/finds/signings courtesy of Jersey Al.
As a follow-up of sort to the above OBOD piece, here are the top 10 signs of being a ‘homer’.
This is for DD Godfather Dan Walsh: Mad Men‘s Alison Brie shares an especially experimental moment of college experimentation.
With Iron Man 2 coming out, I offer this list of the 10 Toughest Iron Men in Sports….yes, #4 is in there so just skip that one if you want.
A list of ‘originally cast as’ actors that for whatever reason were re-cast with the familiar faces we saw in the theaters. Tom Selleck as Indiana Jones? Sorry, just can’t see it.
Yesterday was of course Cinco de Mayo, something I unintentionally block from my mind after working at Chi-Chi’s for all those years…although I did have a photo of Salma Hayek up, perhaps subconsciously. To make up for it, here are 5 Things You Didn’t Know About Cinco de Mayo.
The 10 Most Unique Stadiums in the World.
The 20 Most WTF Sports Couples, yeah I’ve scratched my head at a couple of these, must be nice to be a pro-athlete and rich.
Hear Ye, Hear Ye - Our much ballyhooed Thursday feature will kick off today. Each Thursday we’ll be posting a Q & A session (still working on a catchy name for this) with another Wisconin Sports blogger/site. To kick-off the series, Corey Behnke from CheeseheadTV.com will be our first guinea pig guest. If you like what you read this afternoon, and are a Wisconsin team blogger and would like to ‘interviewed’ feel free to shoot me an email. Through out the Summer we’ll be re-doubling our efforts to be getting more weekly content, most likely some sort of companion piece to the DD each afternoon. Lastly, if you’re either an aspiring blogger looking for a home or an established scripe wishing to increase your reach we’d more than happy to give you a space here on PocketDoppler.com. Again, just an email away.
Have a link, tip or something else that should be included in this space? Email us and give us the scoop.
