Ignore the East Coast bias and the babble over the Evil Empire versus Red Sox Nation… the Packer-Viking rivalry might be the hottest in sports. I am ready for some football.

I picked up my daughter at band camp today. Funny thing…not many pickups in the parking lot when the parents come to pick up their kids from band camp. Don’t know what it means…just an observation.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see if the Bucks re-sign Ramon Sessions.

I don’t know why, but I have the odd feeling that Wisconsin football may win 9 games this year. Last year I felt they were terribly overrated from the start…this year’s expectations have been lowered significantly and it might be a good. John Clay is the next big thing.

Speaking of “I Got a Feeling”, I quietly really like the Black Eyed Peas. And George Strait.

Doug Melvin has earned a four year extension from me for his proactive efforts to keep the Brewers competitive. Keep up the good work.

I caught a classic AWA heavyweight championship match the other night between Larry Zbysko and the Unknown Soldier. To everyone’s shock and amazement, the Unknown Soldier’s mask came off and the Unknown Soldier was really Mr. Saito disguised as the Unknown Soldier. Commissioner Wally Carbo really needs to look into that.

I love that we have a President who is an over-the-top sports fan…my only disappointment is that he is a White Sox fan.

Speaking of the White Sox, their fans have always been quick to criticize Duane Wise…never more.

For an interesting people- watching location, check out a Badger men’s hockey game sometime. It is a surprisingly different crowd.

I have a sinking feeling about UW football….

On the surface looking at their weak schedule, I can see the potential for UW to win 9 games. But given their disturbing tendency under BB to lose games they should win, I believe that’s extremely optimistic. Clay would need to be Dayne and Moss combined for that to happen. (How out of character for you, Jon.)

Very out of character for me, but I think it goes back to my belief that you are never as good as you think you are or as bad as you think you are. I think they are going to be pretty bad… maybe in reality there is some hope ( and that is a big maybe or else the prime topic for this forum will shift to who is next to lead Badger football).

I think what it means is more moms then dads are picking their kids up.

Let’s hope they have a good season! Go Badgers.
