MOST RIDICULOUS SPORTS RADIO CALLER AWARD: The winner goes to the gentleman who expressed his outrage over Badger freshman football player Jon Budmayr wearing jersey #5. Rationale: Brook Bollinger’s old number should be retired.

MOST SURPRISING RANT BY A SPORTSWRITER ON A RADIO SHOW: The winner goes to Wisconsin State Journal writer Jason Wilde blasting Badger hoops coach Bo Ryan for his treatment of some media members. He is not a fan.

BEST GOLF IMPRESSION OF A BLOGGER AT A MAJOR: The winner goes to Angel Cabrera, who drilled a pine tree from close range on the first playoff hole of the Masters. Been there, done that…just not at the Masters.

WORST 2009 FANTASY BASEBALL FREE AGENT PICK-UP: The winner…Jeff Suppan. Why? Why? Why?

WORST DECISION BY A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT: The winner…Taco Bell for the elimination of the Spicy Chicken Burrito. No reason to go there anymore.

    It seems that Ryan’s gets bashed alot for his dealings with the media, which I don’t understand. When I hear him, he doesn’t seem any less interesting or circumspect than most other coaches.

    (And I warned you about Suppan.)

      Funny how Ryan wasn’t being bashed when his teams were winning the Big(11)Ten or amassing 30 win seasons…

    I thought Suppan was a great pickup. It gave me hope that I could finish someplace other than last.
