QUICK HIT: Brewer Pitching

After watching Jeff Suppans effort yesterday, I started thinking about what we thought about Eric Gagne last year.
His signing doesn’t seem so bad anymore. That contract was for one year only at 10mil. Suppans contract is four years at the same yearly average. In comparison, Gagnes contract doesn’t seem so bad.

If it was only Suppan that struggled, they probably could have overcome that yesterday. But throw in the Farenheit 451 bullpen and there’s no way they win. That game didn’t do much to change my perception of the pitching staff. The real concern is that, if they play that way against a supposedly light hitting team, imagine what would ensue against the Cubs.
