QUICK HIT: One More Reason I Like Mark Attanasio

I’ve always had a good feeling about Brewers owner, Mark Attanasio. I can’t really say why, I have never met the guy in person. Maybe it was his willingness to splurge and get CC last year, maybe it’s because he actually sits in the stands with the fans for the games, maybe it’s because he actually seems to enjoy being the owner of the Brewers. I can say though, it’s quotes like these that only endear him a bit more to me:
So, with a stretched budget, how were the Brewers able to make a five-year, $100 million offer to CC Sabathia, you ask? Attanasio showed his sense of humor in answering that question.
“We had a secret plan for that,” he said. “We were going to buy a small regional bank and apply to the government for federal aid.”
Hopefully Attanasio has some more secret plans in the works if need be for the coming season.

I believe it’s easy to figure out why Attanasio is popular. Unlike his predecessor, he’s not stuck in the 1950s.
