Morning Misery

I love sports radio. I need some decompression time at the end, and the beginning, of each day. My ride home each night has a couple of great alternatives on ESPN 540 with The Homer and Boers and Bernstein on 670 out of Chicago. I love both shows and if I need a laugh I turn to 670 and if I need some local info the dial turns to 540.
The mornings…unfortunately, are not so good. The Mike and Mike Show on ESPN Radio, in my opinion, has become completely unbearable. I don’t like fluffy, cutesy radio and I put up with Mike Greenberg’s metro antics and Golic’s uncouthness routine for a while. There was a certain amount of quality sports talk mixed in with the mindless banter. Not anymore. Babble, babble, babble. Fake indignation. False stances on controversial issues. Long, long, boring stories oddly similar to Seinfeld episodes that I have no interest in whatsoever. Lately, I find myself missing The Fabulous Sports Babe.

The Fab Sports Babe? She’s still got a national show? Wow.
Personally, I prefer the “Czabe”. While his occasional forays into the political spectrum are mildly annoying. for the most part his show is entertaining.
