Brewers interested in Brian Fuentes?

Jon Heyman over at SI.com…making it sound like him and I hang out and go drinking from time to time, lists the Brewers as a possible suitor for Rockies Closer Brian Fuentes, along with other teams.

If, I hope when, the Brewers act on a free agent pitcher I would rather see them spend the money and effort on a starter versus a closer. My reasoning? Two words: Seth McClung. The one time Brewers starter and more time set-up man I feel just has the attitude and arm to fill this role for the Brewers. That and the starting rotation with the loss of Sheets (good riddance) and CC (we hardly knew ye) just needs more help…even with the signing of Capuano (insert smirk here).
While nothing may come of this rumor I will stay on record that McClung should be the 2009 Brewers closer.
